The Challenge
USAEL wanted to showcase the broader value of esports by highlighting a high school student from the Clark County School District who won the Madden championship at GamerFest on February 4, 2024. The goal was to create content that demonstrated esports as a pathway to career and college readiness, not just competition.
Our Contribution
2MAD supported the video production from concept to final cut, ensuring alignment with USAEL’s mission. We conducted a structured interview capturing the athlete’s passion, resilience, and goal-driven mindset, and crafted engaging visual storytelling optimized for social channels to maximize reach among students, parents, and educators.
Delivered
• Produced a polished, short-form highlight video featuring key moments and motivational quotes from the champion
• Formatted and optimized the video for social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, with subtitles for accessibility
• Developed a narrative that reinforces esports as a vehicle for educational and career development beyond competitive play
• Increased awareness and engagement across USAEL’s social platforms, extending their reach to a broader K-12 audience
• Highlighted the development of soft skills and career pathways in esports, strengthening USAEL’s brand positioning around competition, curriculum, and career readiness

By helping to produce this highlight video, we amplified a real student’s voice within the evolving narrative of academic esports. Our work elevated USAEL’s mission—demonstrating how passion for gaming transforms into tangible opportunities in STEM and beyond.
